What is a micro conversion?

Know-how from A-Z

Micro conversion refers to all user interactions within a website that are subordinate to a general conversion goal. They are usually triggered within the phases of the customer journey.

Users carry out individual steps that are not considered in detail in the general conversion rates. The task of micro conversions is to prepare a macro conversion in order to identify optimization opportunities for a website.

Examples of micro conversions include clicking on a product or category page, submitting a search query, using a filter function on the website, adding a product to the shopping cart or logging in to a website.
