Money keywords refer to search terms, i.e. a phrase or word that has a high monthly search volume and often also high competition in terms of Google ranking. The word "money" implies the content of the keyword: a direct intention to buy. Money keywords are often also referred to as commercial keywords, as they are commercial or common keywords.

Money keywords are often entered into search engines because users want to buy a specific product. As a result, these keywords or keyword combinations usually generate a higher turnover than other search terms. Examples would be

When using money keywords within search engine optimizations, however, attention should be paid to the frequency of these within websites. Even though attention should always be paid to the topic, the target group and the associated search intention within website content, so-called keyword stuffing must be avoided. The excessive use of money keywords can be classified as spam by search engines, which means that websites are penalized and therefore rank lower. This is sometimes the case if such a money keyword is used too often as anchor text for backlinks.
