What is Web 2.0?

Know-HOw from A-Z

The term Web 2.0 refers to a change in the use of the Internet in socio-technical terms, whereby its possibilities are consistently used and further developed.

The Internet has evolved from a purely static platform, where the focus was on the dissemination of information or product sales, to an interactive platform where the focus is on user participation in the web and the generation of additional benefits.

A central element here is the updating of content, making websites more dynamic and flexible. The success of this is reflected in the number of visitors to a website, which in turn has an influence on the ranking.

Applications that can be assigned to Web 2.0 also include social media channels, podcasts and the use of Wikipedia.
